Update 02.15.06 - Before you post yet another comment here, you may wish to go to the WheresGeorge.com site and plug your serial number into their database, and track it, and stuff. It is not that I do not like the comments, but it seems a bit odd. And it is more like a joke that has run its course by now.
I would also like to say for the record that I did not think I would have to update this post with these blatantly obvious notes. But thanks Josh for the suggestion.
Have you seen one of these bills stamped with this URL? The one I had also had the Series Date and the Serial Number highlighted.
I don't know that I agree with the stamping of legal tender with advertising for web sites, no matter what the reason.
That being said, this is a nifty idea. You can see the $1 bill that I am talking about here. It is more then just $1 bills too.
I split a $20, and 5 days later I used it for a Sprite. Its a cool novelty. You can see what states have the most entries, etc, nice stuff.
I just wonder when we will see advertisements for the local strip club stamped in the margin of the $1 bill. Your thoughts?

That site's been around for a HELL of a long time, and I used to make fun of my buddy because he actually had a stamp made with his tracking/affiliate number so he could see where all of his bills went. That guy had way too much time on his hands, which is probably why his business went down the tank.

I received a dollar bill today at the Sutter County, Ca. Fair. That's in Yuba City, Ca. . It had the "Wheres George .com on it. I never had seen any thing like this before. Didn't get the serial number and stuff, because it was 106 degrees there and I had to use it to buy water for myself I wouldn't die on the spot.

OK... if you get a bill labeled www.wheresgeorge.com you need to go to that website and register (for free) and log your bill in. You SHOULD NOT be entering the year and serial number on this webpage...this causes false hits (people pretending they have this bill in hand) and poor Hank...the king of all kings for www.wheresgeorge.com has to weed through them and delete them.
Try the website...it's fun...free...and not as confusing as some people seem to think!
