E3 2005: Three new Metal Gear games announced

Konami today announced there would be three new Metal Gear games across the three Sony platforms. Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence will be a compilation of the games in the series, plus additional online play for up to eight players. They also mentioned new game modes, but nothing was announced as to what those will be. It will be available on the Playstation 2.

Metal Gear Ac!d 2 is the sequel to the unique card based game on the PSP. The series will continue to be exclusive to the portable system. Metal Gear Solid 4 picks up the storyline after Metal Gear Solid 2 baffled gamers with its strange, confusing ending. They plan to bring back classic characters including Meryl and Ocelot on the Playstation 3. Theyre also planning online play for this new sequel as well.
