Wrong link Matt.

Everything happens for a reason I guess. The article now has the price officially too.

My question is:

Why not spend the extra $30 for a DS? If you want to play orignal Game Boy/Color games, buy a Color for $10 off eBay.

The Micro will sell of course, they always do. This time out though, I don't get it.

They will sell because people already have a GBA library. But I see your point about $30 more for the DS. The size of an iPod mini though, thats pretty nice.

And then they obviously already have a GBA in some form. I was willing to pay $50 for this thing, and that was the rumored price for a while. You know just as well as I do this is way too high for a console that offers nothing new other than size. The orignal GBA launched at this price (at least I think it was, I imported). I'm sure the technology is a hell of a lot cheaper.

The DS is pretty big. I don't take the DS along if I don't have a bag with me where I can put it in. I Micro is better suited for that. I'll wait until it's cheaper, though.

I'm not so sure Nintendo is trying to screw people with the price. Making stuff smaller simply costs more, and such a small screen needs a pretty good resolution, too.

The DS can play these games, too, to it's not really an argument for the Micro.

Fits in my pocket fine, though it is bulky. Like I said, if the Micro was $50, I'd be all over it. I think you're thinking the same way.

Oh, I'm sure it costs more to make than a SP. However, the game technology isn't exactly new. Some of those new plug-n-play games equal it in a few ways.

Yeah, I agree. If I didn't already own an SP, I would possibly buy the Micro in addition to my DS. But it doesn't offer enough over the SP, and for people who own neither, the DS is clearly the best choice. I can see how people who mostly want to play their console while on the go and who don't usually take bags along for the ride would prefer the Micro to the DS despite the similar cost, though.

What plug-n-play games?

What plug-n-play games?

They're cheap joysticks with games stored on them. They retail for about $20. They mostly contain licensed crap or classic games.

Want to find out how even more absurd this is? It won't play standard Game Boy Games or Color.

Way out of hand now.

Probably a room issue. I think the GBA and the SP contain all the hardware of the GBC in order to play these games. The Micro is pretty small, after all. It's still a pity, though.
