Using mod_ssl on Mac OS X

This might seem greek to some, but I was ecstatic (yes, geek dance and all) when I found it. I needed to figure out how to create a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) in OS X and there it was, in plain mono-spaced font, a thing of beauty.

For the uninitiated, that is how to setup a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate on a web server (Apache) in OS X.

It also has a nice tutorial on how to "fake" a Certificate Authority so you can use mod_ssl on your own box. Pretty slick

Greatest Halo 3 Grenade Tag Ever

Seriously. Try to find one better than this, I dare you. Even if it's staged, it's still a stunning toss.

Guitar Hero III will own your soul

The final song? The Devil Went Down To Georgia. Here is the version that will be in Guitar Hero III, as the final encore. Now picture playing that, and cry.

Bill Maher Goes After 9/11 Consipracy Nut Live

Never watch his show, but this is a classic live TV moment. "Do we have some fucking security in this building?" Priceless, and this doesn't even include Maher going into the stands to confront the guy(s).

Gamerscore Breaks 50,000 Mark

Yes, you read that right. There's a new milestone to celebrate in my achievement point whoring. 50K was broken today thanks to the Superstar achievement in PGR4 worth 40.

This means I now have thousands of more points than Ken. I have a countless points lead on that drunken Canadian Jason. And I have more points than Juganawt... Wait. He has how many? Aw son of bitch.

Arkanoid DS demo

Matt sent me this link, with the most wondiferous note "Enjoy you block busting freak."

Now here is good use of Flash. One of my favorite games of all time, Arkanoid, is coming to the DS in an updated form. You can pre-order it from Play-Asia, by the way.

FundaMental Disaster

Since I have not gotten around to re-creating my blogroll, here is my friend Greg's blog, FundaMental Disaster.

Pimping Myself Out

I've begun writing for two new sites in the past month. One is Multiplayergames.com, a blog focusing on, well, mutli-player games (duh?). This includes downloadables and such as well. The other is Gameargus.com, a more professional site trying to bring some cred to the journalism side of things.

Visit them often or I'll... uh, hmm... let me see. I'll think of something. Really. So just do it. Now, preferably. Remember, I have a Gamerscore of 50K, and that's me important.

FileMaker Pro 9 Does Not Like Leopard

So Leopard is out in the wild (bada-bing) and people other than beta testers and members of the press are starting to use it.

A lot of companies have already released statements that their software is compatable, or are releasing upgrades to make their software compatable with 10.5. FileMaker, a subsidiary of Apple, has announced that FileMaker 9 is not compatable, but at least now they give a date when we should see a patch for it, Nov. 19.

It would have been nice to know this, say, a few days ago.

The Gamer - The Trailer

Funny little clip of what would happen if games to life in the real world. Tetris, the Metal Gear theme, and the ending GTA parody are priceless.

Oh, and in contrary to what the chick says in the opening, you CAN go through college gaming. You won't do well, but it can be done.

Man Takes a Leak on Dying Woman

Per Ken's request, I am spending my time outside of YouTube and finding articles on another one of my favorite topics to post about from here on out: public urination.

Rather disgusting story though about a guy who pissed all over a dying woman, covered her in shaving cream, and yelling out loud "This is YouTube material" as he filmed it.

Oh crap, I guess this is a YouTube post after all. Oops. Still, the guy should probably burn at the stake, though that still wouldn't be enough punishment.

Greatest Football Moment You'll Ever See

This has to be a record setter. Small college, two seconds left, one shot for the touchdown to take the game. What follows is pure insanity and one of the most unbelievable plays this sport will ever see.
